Zoo Lights

Right now.

This.

I love the age my kids are right now. 10, 8, 5, 5. They travel well and the older ones are old enough to help us with the younger ones. This family picture, although a little blurry, is a perfect representation of this time in our lives. Life is going by so fast that most of my memories are a blur and I have to remember to stop and take photos and video of them (and me for that matter) so I can hold on to these times forever.

Our annual visit to Zoo Lights is a family tradition and this year was perhaps the most important for this even because it was the first since the flood that destroyed much of the island where the Calgary Zoo sits. We really wanted to support the reopening of the zoo and say hello to the animals.

What do you do to record your family memories?

What an awesome tradition! That looks like so much fun.

We use our camera phone s and video camera. I swear we can’t seem to play catch up with our photos.
Which reminds me, I need to organize all the photos!!
