Life Is Good: A Guest Post

Today’s post is brought to you by my talented friend Julie Nowell from 3 Chickens and a Boat. A big THANK YOU goes out to Julie for sharing part of her good life with us. Check her out for more inspiration, motivation or some of her ugly food, oh and more ducks!

This. This alone should be enough for a life is good guest post, but because I am a talker, I will elaborate.

We got ducks. Simply put. We moved to a farm last year, and hubby fell in love with ducks. We have chickens (borning) and bunnies (yawn) and needed to up the cute meter . .. hence, the ducks.

Indian Runner Ducks to be precise.

The best part, as above, letting them test their skills in the bathtub, or waddle about the floor (feet flapping as only ducks can do) snooping and scavenging snacks.

And then after the bath, sitting there watching a movie with a pile of wet ducklings in your lap (so they can warm up and dry off) tugs are the heart. It is one of those things that you would never think to put on the list, but fills a void in you completly.

One more pic before we go, and a wish that your day is “just ducky”

  1. My husband is so jealous of you! I’m a farm girl so I’ve been there, done that (well not ducks I have to admit) but the city boy so wants a little acreage with poultry running around!

Julie is getting around today! More than usual, at least. 😉

Ducks in the bathtub. I need to bring that to city life.

  3. Farms are gross.
    Julie is not gross.
    Is this a haiku yet?

  4. I desperately want chickens. Ducks, chickens, they all have beaks right!?

The major problem (there are many) is that we travel half the year and don’t have anyone to look after them. And I wouldn’t want to eat Tweety (he was a chicken right)?

In the meantime, I’ll have to live vicariously through you. Keep the stories coming.
