Basic Brownies

Everyone needs a basic, go-to brownies recipe to make at a moments notice. Dessert for a pot luck. Friday night gathering with friends. This is my go-to basic brownies recipe. Tried and true. Basic but never boring.

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter melted
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup flour

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease an 8x8 square pan and set aside. In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, cocoa and vanilla.
2. add egg and mix well. add flour and mix until combined. pour into prepared pan and spread evenly.

   
3. bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until edges are pulling away from the sides and middle is no longer wet to the touch.

Recipe Notes

Serve this one hot, right out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla icecream! YUM! Or as an extra special treat for school lunches.
