Easy Recipe For A Weekend In Radium BC

 

 

I’m on my phone and my computer all-day-long. I’m sending tweets, I’m liking things on Facebook, I’m snapping things to my snap story and I’m broadcasting live to my Periscope account but none of that is as important as spending time with friends in the living breathing flesh. I recently had an amazing staycation weekend away with some amazing ladies. Check out my easy recipe for a weekend in Radium BC.

Ingredients:

15 women who all have busy lives, demanding jobs and a countless collective of kids and are in much need of a break.

5 shuttles of vehicles to get everyone safely over the mountains, including a GMC Acadia Denali as my sweet ride for the weekend. 4 ladies, blue skies and road snacks! I loved the new heads up display and the adaptive cruise for the 2.5 hour drive.

6 beautiful mountain condo suites at Big Horn Meadows Resort in Radium, BC.

1 King size bed (or queen) for each lady. No sharing needed!

2 nights of fun, laughter, fresh air and sleep.

Mix:

I was amazed at how much we packed into 2 days visiting a small town like Radium in the Columbia Valley of British Columbia. The beauty of a large group is that we didn’t have to do everything together all the time. Which was good because sleep was at the top of my to-do list for the weekend but if anyone was looking for something to do, there was always someone willing and able.

Cross country ski? Sure.

Nature walk about? Absolutely.

Learn to crochet? Ummm, really? You bet your butt you can.

Antique shopping? Yup.

Dip in the hot springs pool? YASSSSS!

Big Horn Sheep? Of course.

Yoga? Namaste.

Bake:

48 hours is all it takes. Even though we have unlimited access to each other online every single day and routinely check in with each other, those 48 hours away in Radium was sharing laughs, hugs, couches, silly faces, meals and car rides. No distractions. No work. No kids. No alarm clocks. I don’t know one person who couldn’t use a weekend like this to bake off some of the stress that collects on our shoulders.
