2017 Ford Raptor Supercrew: A Pickup Truck With Personality

There seems to be a stereotype going around that women don’t like to drive big trucks. I’m here to break that stereotype into little tiny pieces as I drive over it with this gigantic Ford Raptor Supercrew! I spent a week riding around town, and my little acreage and found that the 2017 Ford Raptor Supercrew is a pickup truck with personality.The Raptor is basically an F-150 on steroids. It has beefed up tires, hard lines, fierce grill and all the options you’d want for comfort and play. The interior is well equipped with all the latest Ford safety and tech. Some are optional and some come standard. The model I drove had all my favourites like, adaptive cruise, huge twin panel sunroof and 360 camera to help with parking or trailer lineup.I showed the Raptor to a couple of female friends and the responses were mixed. Some thought it was too masculine for their taste and some thought it was fun and different. I tend to agree with the latter. If I’m going to drive a big truck, I want it to have personality. I would probably opt out of the $2500 exterior and hood graphics with the word “Raptor” on it but I loved the big tires and the jacked up suspension and the orange details on the interior.The Ford family of Supercrew trucks have a massive second row, which I absolutely loved. Loads of leg room means adults enjoy the ride and with the seats down, there’s a huge storage space for interior hauling. Lots of power plug options and heated rear seats. I like to drive but I wouldn’t mind sitting in the back seat either.My overall opinion: I’ve driven a lot of trucks over the years. The Ford Raptor Supercrew is a fun truck built to stand out. This truck is not for introverts or wall flowers. It comes with loads of options both standard and as additions and can tow your toys with ease. I’d love to see this with a diesel engine to haul heavy loads but we’re not the average family with our 13,000lb trailer. This is one fun truck to drive!
